My favourite Summer Fragrances – AD

I love the summer, I love the sun, the beach, eating outside and catching a tan. My mood is instantly lifted when the weather is nice, I enjoy wearing floaty clothes and light cosmetics.

For some reason, when it comes to the summer I want to smell like a holiday. This sounds a bit daft, but there is something so satisfying smelling like tropical fruit and coconuts when the sun is shining. I tend to buy a new perfume every summer and I actively seek out brands that bring out perfumes to reflect the seasons.

When I’m looking for a fragrance, a lot of the time I’m not looking for something that necessarily costs a tonne of money. I often seek out drugstore brands or even skincare brands that have their own lines of perfume. These are often more natural smelling and they tend to reflect the light smell that I aim for in the Summer months.  One of my favourites on the high street is by Loccitane called TERRE DE LUMIÈRE:

Top notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Blackcurrant

Middle notes: Pink Peony

Base notes: Bitter Almond Essence, Tonka                                                                                        Bean, White Musk.

With a price tag of around £50.00 for 50ml it is very much an affordable perfume but isn’t so cheap that the smell will disappear after 1 hour of wearing.

Another favorite of mine is Miss Dior, a slightly more expensive perfume compared to Loccitane, however, it is totally worth it for the treat. The lasting power is incredible and I constantly get compliments on it.

The new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum reveals the femininity of a sensual floral. Its heart is a floral declaration that combines the beauty of Grasse rose with the boldness of Damascus rose, both wrapped in a ribbon of fresh notes of Calabrian bergamot. This handcrafted creation is woven with rosewood from French Guiana and pink pepper from Reunion Island for heightened character. A Miss Dior that will leave you lovestruck.

The cheapeast longstanding fragrance of mine is the Avon Tahitan Holiday. This is a classic ‘throw in the handbag’ perfume. It retails at around £10.00-£15.00 so is very very affordable.

Notes:

  • Tonka
  • Coconut
  • White Floral
